Lead like a girl!
It’s time for change. It’s time for girls and women to lead the world with brains and hearts. Today leaders are almost all men: 93% are Heads of State and 92% are Heads of Government.
For change to happen, we connect today’s political leaders with adolescent girls – the next generation of leaders.
Join #Girl2Leader and #LeadLikeAGirl!
#Girl2Leader is a campaign launched by the Women Political Leaders Global Forum (WPL). The campaign takes place under the distinguished patronage of the President of Malta, H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
Lead Like A Girl! We want more girls to get involved in politics!
Social media and blogs are at the heart of this campaign, to reach many girls around the globe.
The key day of the campaign is the ‘International Day of the Girl’. Female politicians will host a group of young girls (14-17 years-old) to give them a personal introduction to politics to show: politics is a woman’s job!
On the occasion of the WPL Summit 2018 hosted by Viktoras Pranckietis, President of Seimas, on 6-8 June 2018.
On the 11th of October hosted by MP Yulia Lovochkina and co-hosted by MP Natalia Agafonova and MP Nataliya Korolevskaya in the Ukrainian Parliament.
More info to come soon. Stay tuned!
The #Girl2Leader Ambassadors further promote the message. Together, we will help girls understand how to navigate the complex system of politics, at the national and European levels.
